About the Round Table and this Website

Welcome to the website established by the Civil War Round Table of the District of Columbia. Please visit our home page at https://www.cwrtdc.org/ or contact us at admin@cwrtdc.org for additional information about the Round Table or its various events.


The Round Table usually meets in-person, via Zoom, or both once a month from September to June each operational year at the Fort Myer Officers' Club, Patton Hall, 214 Buffalo Soldier Avenue, Fort Myer, Virginia, 22211 (in Arlington, VA) or at a nearby location. The in-person meetings include dinner, followed by a speaker who discusses a topic related to the U.S. Civil War. In-person meetings may also be attended virtually (via Zoom) in most cases. The Round Table also hosts Zoom-only meetings.

In addition, the Round Table sponsors field trips, tours, and other events with noted Civil War authors and scholars. Its purpose is to further and to stimulate interest in the history of the United States and particularly the Civil War.
